MCC Heavy Machinery has completed the welding inspection of the first large gear of the AOD furnace at Xidian
On March 9th, Baosteel Technology Heavy Machinery Branch of MCC successfully completed the welding inspection of heavy-duty rotary gears for AOD (stainless steel refining furnace) of China XD Group Corporation.
This heavy-duty rotary gear is a tilting device for AOD furnace, manufactured using a combination of forging and welding processes, fully utilizing the comprehensive advantages of both forging and welding manufacturing processes. It is a key component. After the completion of the inspection of the first welded large gear, the project team of the Heavy Duty Branch conducted another inspection and confirmation of its appearance, dimensions, and non-destructive testing of the main welds. The inspection results showed that all parameters were normal. After the welding inspection of this first large gear product is passed, the subsequent products will enter the batch processing and precision machining stage.
