The added value of the five major categories of the national economy mainly involved in the machinery industry has achieved year-on-year growth, among which the automobile and electrical machinery industries have growth rates of 11.3% and 12.2% respectively, leading the growth of the machinery industry.

The economic benefits have stabilized and improved. In the first half of the year, enterprises above designated size in the machinery industry achieved a revenue of 1.53 trillion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 7.8%, which was 5.3 percentage points higher than the national industrial growth rate; The total profit reached 791.21 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 9.4%.

Emerging industries are flourishing. In the first half of the year, the strategic emerging industries related to the machinery industry achieved a growth rate of 1.3 and 5.4 percentage points higher in operating revenue and total profit than the entire machinery industry, accounting for 82.8% and 82.6% of the machinery industry, respectively, an increase of 1 and 3.9 percentage points compared to the same period last year.

Foreign trade exports maintained rapid growth. In the first half of the year, the machinery industry completed a total import and export volume of goods trade of 597.6 billion US dollars, a year-on-year increase of 7.1%. Among them, the export volume increased by 12.4% year-on-year.

The production and sales of products are steadily improving. In the first half of the year, among the 122 key products monitored by the machinery industry, the output of 84 products increased year-on-year, accounting for 68.9%, an increase of 7.4 percentage points compared to the same period last year. Among them, the production of generator sets and industrial robots increased by 60.5% and 35.6% respectively year-on-year.
